I was born, raised, and currently reside in Stamford, CT.  I am a true believer in Catholic education.  My three sons, ages 35, 30 and 27, were fortunate enough to attend Catholic schools from Pre-K through high school, where they received a wonderful academic and faith-based education. I was very involved in their schools as a volunteer and also as a member of various fundraising committees.
Upon graduating from the University of Connecticut, I started working at Pitney Bowes in Stamford. After the birth of my first child, I chose to stay home to raise my family.  Once my third child began pre-school, I went back to work as an assistant nursery school teacher, rotating between two, three, and four year old classrooms. I immediately discovered I loved working with children.  What a rewarding experience!  22 years later, I cannot imagine doing anything else, and I am very excited and proud to be a part of The Catholic Academy of Stamford.

Update for 2/25

Please read the following for an important change to the school schedule for tomorrow, Wednesday, February 25, 2026.  The Catholic Academy of Stamford will NOT have an early dismissal day for professional development as previously scheduled.

We are watching another potential winter weather event that may impact the morning commute. Because we cannot have both a delayed opening due to weather and an early release for professional development on the same day, we are preemptively cancelling the early dismissal.

The following are the two possible scenarios for tomorrow:

  1. School will be in session for a full day, with a regular opening and regular dismissal.

  2. School will be delayed by 2 hours due to the weather, with a regular dismissal.

Any decision regarding a delayed opening will be communicated to you once Stamford makes a decision.

With this change, the following information is important to note:

1. Please send your child to school with a lunch and drink tomorrow, as the hot lunch program was not previously an option due to the early dismissal.

2. The Professional Development meeting for tomorrow will be held after school tomorrow for our faculty and staff to avoid scheduling another early dismissal.

3.  There will be no After Care or Beyond the Bell offered tomorrow due to the PD after school. Please make arrangements for your child’s dismissal at 2:10 p.m.

4. If a delay is announced for tomorrow, please remember that there is no Morning Care and doors open at 9:40 a.m.

All of us look forward to welcoming your children back to school tomorrow.
